On the opposite bank, the old spruce forest of the Natura 2000 area rises majestically. A small stream flows into the pond and an old tree trunk forms a bridge over the stream from where it is possible to get wonderful reflection and crossing pictures of wolverines, bears and other animals in the area.
In addition to large animals, the pond offers many other things to look at and photograph. You can see, for example swans, mallards and common goldeneye. Occasional visiting stars include gray heron, red-throated diver, black-throated loon, hawks, and white-tailed and golden eagles.
You can get to Uuronlampi by car. The observation hide is located at the top of the hill and one of the two observation hides is accessible by wheelchair. If necessary, the car can be parked in front of the observation hide to unload luggage and photography equipment. The parking lot is located about 100m from the observation hide. There is a short descent to the photography hides located by the pond.
